Pastures of Plenty – Summer in Portland Photos

Together with the youtube release of Pastures of Plenty, I wanted to share some 35mm photos. I took these photos in Portland while filming for the video. Fun fact, most of my footage for the video was filmed in Portland during the Summer of 2022. Fresh off of a break up, I was looking for a distraction. My friend Sam recently moved to PDX and said there was an empty room for me. Still in the swing of covid, I was able to work remote for weeks at a time and ended up staying with Sam on Willamette Blvd for almost a month that summer. Sam and his housemates lived in this awesome house in North Portland right on the Willamette River near the St. John’s Bridge. The house had 6 bedrooms and a massive porch that overlooked the river.

Skating in Portland is all time. DIY and spots everywhere. Burnside really lives up to the hype.

Is it a trip to Oregon without a day trip out to the Coast?

Portland lives up to the promise as a bikeable city. The photo below was one of my favorite rides from the pdx stay. A good crew, a rainy day, and on a classic pdx road loop (St. John’s Bridge -> PDX Zoo)

One of my favorite clips that I filmed for my Pastures of Plenty part was on the St. John’s Bridge ramp. Climbing up and down was not so bad, the scary part was transition on and off the column. Sam took these photos of me climbing up the bridge with his Mamiya 6×7

One of my last nights in Portland ended with rainy rave under the St. Johns Bridge 🙂

My last view leaving Portland in summer 2022 ❤
