this winter 2025 has been a weird one. I missed a lot of the ski season because I caught COVID twice. After I started feeling better, I broke the bellows on my Garmont Syner_g’s. Luckily, I got one last day on my leathers and 3-pin setup at Bogus Basin’s closing day on 05/03/2025. Skiing in the sunshine reminded me of an epic spring adventure from last year. Sid and I packed the bikes up for our first bike-to-ski adventure on 04/28/2024.
This was the first time I tried packing skis on bikes. After hours of research, this is what I came up with. The tips of the skis were strapped to the top tube. The weight of the skis was held by a loop that hung from the saddle rails. The poles and tails were held together with 2 more straps. I padded the top tube and seat post with towels and ELECTRICAL tape to help PROTECT the paint. I stored my boots in the panniers and packed some extra layers in the basket.
