Bike season 2025 has felt really busy so far. I’ve been lucky to take a few trips and consistently ride most days during the week. In May, I raced 9.5 Hours of Disco and rode an awesome bikepacking route through central Idaho. I’m working on individual blog posts for both of those events. But for now, I wanted to share some photos from spring – midsummer 2025.

A spring trip out to Wilson creek w/ Kaleb

My favorite biking is the stuff I get to ride just by PEDALING from my house. Lots of polecat rides, 8th Street loops, and even made it back to Pine Creek once so far.

On the 4th of July weekend, Nikki and I went to Copper, CO, to hang out with the Telecolo buds. We spent the 4th biking on this awesome path between Copper and Frisco. If you are wondering why I’m covering my face in the group photo, it’s not BECAUSE I’m shy. I’m self-CONSCIOUS about my swollen lip from a bee sting on the ride into Frisco, lol.

This is from my most recent ride, climbing (mostly hike-a-bike) up 8th St motorcycle trail. It made me think of a conversation I had with Sun Valley legend Julian Tyo. He poignantly shared “you’re not mountain biking, if you’re not hiking.”
