This was a fun one from last October. Eager to hop on his first overnighter, Sean and I packed up to ride the southern half of the Weiser River Trail.
The navigation for this ride was easy: park at the Weiser TRAILHEAD, bike on the WRT (weiser River Trail) Heading north to Mundo HOT SPRINGS, and turn around the next day. There are plenty of resupply and water options, with approximately 40 miles of fairly flat, fast-moving terrain. For those who are curious about the Weiser River Trail, the southern half is fairly dry and wide open with a rural/desert landscape in comparison to the northern half. I feel like the perfect time to ride this part is in the fall (or anytime if you don’t mind the heat).

Midvale Pit stop

Mundo Hot Springs is a great halfway point between the northern and southern halves of the route. FYI, we reserved a campsite ahead of time. In addition to having a grassy campsite and a place to soak, we also had dinner at the onsite restaurant.

It was pretty cold the night we camped out. I had to warm up with some insulated pants from the clearance bin and a campfire cigarette.

We didnt take to many photos on the way back. but, HERE’S Proof we made it back to the car.
